If you are wondering about whether yourself or someone you love should go to Casa Colina then you have come to the right place. As the parent of a child just completing a 90 day program here, I feel completely confident and qualified to say that Casa Colina is the best of the best! The following review is long and detailed and is for the mommas out there who are wanting to know all the things about the treatment program at Casa Colina from a mom’s perspective. If you don’t want to read all of the following, no worries, suffice it to say that I wouldn’t want my son to have been anywhere else. Casa Colina has definitely become home! When my almost 18 year old son asked for help with his drug addiction, I googled “addiction treatment centers” and found Casa Colina. I quickly called the admissions line. Eric (the admissions guy) was so warm and kind, I immediately felt at ease. He told me about the program and answered my questions (I had millions of them) and then he talked to my son. Throughout the process of getting insurance sorted out, I ended up calling multiple times and every time I called I encountered patience, kindness and care. When we pulled into the parking lot at Casa Colina for treatment, we were met at the car by several staff members (including John Campbell, the CEO) who showed us where to park and then helped my son carry in his bags. It was snowy & 18° outside that day with a north wind blowing. The personal care & attention paid to us was beyond impressive. At one point, Murray, who is the admissions director, put his arm around my shoulder and said, “Momma, you did the hard work in getting him here. He is safe and we will take good care of him. Now it is time for you to breathe. Go home, relax, and trust that we have got it from here…” his words were incredibly soothing to my worried, frazzled, and harried existence. For the first 10 days of treatment there were no personal phone calls from my son (this is center policy), but there were several calls from the Casa staff. They updated me on meds, treatment plans, and gave me a general overview of how things were going. I asked lots of questions (I am a major talker/verbal processor) however, I never felt as if I was being brushed off or that they were in a hurry to get off the phone with me. I always felt like they believed what I had to say was important and that they cared about my well being as much as my son’s. The first phone call from my son (after the first 10 days) was AWESOME! He was sober, hopeful and so proud of the work he was doing. It was only 10 minutes long (center policy), but it made me smile for days. I continued to enjoy our 10 minute phone calls each weekend. Every week, throughout his stay, I got a therapy update phone call from his individual therapist, Ivy. She answered my questions and pointed me toward resources. I really looked forward to her weekly calls! She is a therapy ninja/rockstar!! One of my favorite things about Ivy’s calls is that she would always brag on my son’s accomplishments that week. For a mom that has been plagued with negative/bad news about my boy for years, I loved getting to hear good news! After a few weeks we started family therapy through zoom with Stephanie (family therapist). Family therapy with Stephanie was a game changer! She was able to coach us safely through what have always been “landmine”conversations. Meaning that we were able to discuss hard things without the chaos, drama and fighting that has often plagued us. I have always felt that Stephanie (the family therapist) “sees me,” she “hears me” and what I think and feel matters to her. She has been a godsend to our family! After 60 days of treatment, our family was invited to The Family Intensive Program. While there we connected with other families and healed some of our most “broken” places. If you have the opportunity to go to Family Program, please don’t hesitate to go! It was life changing for our family! Overall, I am beyond impressed with Casa Colina! It is an amazing place that is changing lives!

Casa Colina helped me more than I can explain in this review. John reached out to me while I was in the hospital after an overdose and in compete desperation. Murry and John stayed in touch with me the whole time I was in the hospital and worked out all my medical details so I was able to get into Casa. They made sure I had a bed. I was there for 90 days. I've been to multiple treatment facilities and this was my best experience. The different types of therapy offered at Casa are very helpful with trauma and shame. The staff at Casa definitely cares about each client and tries to meet their needs as best as possible. They also do very well with family work. I had sessions each week with my family and since they have been able to get into their own programs of recovery from codependency. The family program is the best I've been apart of. I would recommend Casa to anyone suffering with alcoholism or addiction. I have a lot of love and gratitude for that place!

I swore I was gonna write a review like 8 months ago… Casa saved me dawg. I thought it was bs the first month I was there to be honest and If you’re on the way there reading this thinkin its bs just know it’s not a joke over there. Yes they have fun and joke all the time but the homies in there are savin lives Fr fr. I wasn’t always fun to deal with in there but they knew I was a good kid that needed truth. They gave me truth and now I live a much truer life. I think about every staff member and every peer from my time in casa EVERY SINGLE DAY. If you need someone to help you save yourself then just go. Go as soon as you can.

When my husband needed help fighting his addiction, this is where he went. It has certainly not been an easy journey — emotionally, financially, and physically — but he is healing. He was guided to build a solid plan for recovery. Our kids and I have been given some of the tools we need to begin recovery, as well. It’s certainly not an easy road to navigate, but Casa Colina has removed many of the barriers and has pointed us in the right direction. I highly recommend Casa Colina to any man (young or old) in need of addiction therapy.

Thank you so much Casa Colina and to the team you’ve been able to put together. They range from, in no specific order, the Admissions team, Culinary chefs and cuisine, Dietary consultant, Maintenance team, Equine therapist and animals, Art therapy and counselor, Spirituality guidance and leader, Fitness instructor and program, Yoga class and instructor, Clinician team, family, individual, trauma and Brain spotting to name a few, Medical and Nursing team, Alumni Coordination to Recovery Advocate and a few more. Your team was able to hone in a treatment plan that not only benefits me but our family and their value system as well. It hasn’t been easy living in addiction but with you and your teams drive you create and maintain a legacy worth being proud of. You gave me my life and family back with a plan of action to return to a new normal. Kudos on a job well executed. Sincerely your friend, Fred McFadden Jr CEO Unique Home Audio LLC

The team at casa Colina really cares about their patients and their after care. I am grateful to have come through here in 2018 and I share my experience quite a bit at treatment centers in dfw. I am also invited back to casa Colina to share my experience to help guys who are currently residents there. Casa Colina really helped put a mirror back on me and look at some major flaws. Ultimately the trajectory of my life has changed and by making the decision to stay here and get back on track I have saved my business, my personal finances, and my relationships. Change is not easy. Change comes from the inside but when you are so beaten up you can’t go on any longer this facility will help you pick up the pieces and put it back together. Coming up on 3 years sober I share my experience and post my review publicly because all I want to do is help people who were in the same exact same spot as me. Also the staff Sean, Scott, John Campbell, Miss Kay and many others have stood beside me after treatment and helped me in so many ways. When you do your part they show up and God shows up too. Thank you again for all the help and I’m grateful to be invited back to speak time and time again. God bless!

A 5 star review doesn’t do this place much justice for what it did for my life. It saved it and has continued to be a place filled with people willing and open to share and help me along my sobriety path. When I showed up to Casa, I didn’t realize how unmanageable my life was until Casa made me get real, honest, and humble about the person I was and wanted to be. From the CEO John Campbell all the way across the board, each employee gives every client a real experience and a willingness to help out. I felt safe each day and night I was at Casa, all 75 days including Christmas, New Years, and my birthday. I was treated with the utmost respect and grew up more in 11 weeks at Casa then I had in majority of my 26 years alive. Some of the guys I went to casa with will be in my wedding and the habits formed at Casa have made my life hopeful and worth living again.
